About the Shop
Conspiracy Culture is a small, mom & pop bookstore: Patrick Whyte and Kadina Yu opened the shop on August 26th, 2006 due to the limited availability of alternative media found in corporate-controlled mainstream bookstores. Conspiracy Culture is an independently owned source for information on conspiratorial and spiritual subject matter. We offer an unbiased selection of books, magazines, and DVDs with a focus on suppressed and controversial information. Patrick makes a point not to censor any of the material he brings into the shop, even carrying content we may not particularly agree with because we feel all viewpoints must be considered in order to grow or broaden one’s perspective.
In our quest to spread awareness in the Greater Toronto Area, Conspiracy Culture organizes regular events in the form of lectures, presentations, discussions, movie screenings and book signings. Join our email list to get direct notifications of our promotions, sales, and upcoming events. Check our 'events' page to see a list of all our upcoming events and those that we have produced in the past. There's always something going on.
Conspiracy Culture wants to help free-thinking Canadians find the information they want from a credible and easily accessible source. We also ship our product worldwide for any of our international paranoids.
About the Owners
Patrick & Kadina have always thought outside the box.
As a child, Patrick had a fascination with ideas that stretched his imagination, such as the existence of Bigfoot, ghosts or the Bermuda Triangle. Despite his academic abilities, Patrick dropped out of high school and started to promote underground warehouse parties and ‘raves’ in the early-90s. He eventually co-founded an Event Production Company and began to throw his own large scale parties. Continuing to work in the music industry into his mid-twenties, he later managed several International DJs and then worked a few years as a technical producer for an online, internet radio station.
Kadina has spiritual parents and was raised to know that reality was not as it initially appears. She is currently a high school math teacher who graduated from the Concurrent Education program at Queen’s University where she co-founded Vogue charity fashion show, which continues to be the largest charity event organized by the student body today. In her mid-twenties she spent a few years working in the fashion industry as a sales representative and started her own clothing company as a fashion designer.
Then on September 11th, 2001 the world experienced the JFK of the 21st century. The loss of faith in government was renewed in many citizens as the official story was in blatant conflict with the images presented through the media. This led Patrick on his search for truth, and he would share what he found with Kadina.
After 9/11, Patrick and Kadina immediately recognized the importance of the information they were uncovering, and felt the need for a physical storefront to help legitimize all the sources found in cyberspace. The greatest merit they have received from the store is the many interesting people they have met and the sharing of information that takes place. We have been truly blessed. Much love to all those who have supported us throughout the years!
