In "Coping With Babylon," Rastafarians address their history and reveal a contemporary worldview as interpreted by some of the most prominent figures from the diverse theological followers of His Imperial Majesty, Haile Selassie I. The "Proper Rastology" has its roots in African spiritualism, building on the historical foundations of the Rastafarian movement, from the prophecies of its visionaries to the modern revolutionaries who espouse peaceful militancy, strict adherence to a conscious "livity," and an escape from the Babylonian system that keeps Black people captive in the Western Hemisphere.
