This rare, digitally restored full-feature cartoon features Superman, in his first animated movie (1942) where he battles Nikola Tesla, the Mad Scientist. Animated by the award-winning Max and Dave Fleischer Studios of the 1940s, it demonstrates how Nikola Tesla was turned into a “mad scientist” by the mainstream media and his inventions were subsequently suppressed (he died in 1943). Sadly, many of Tesla’s inventions have failed to reach the modern consumer over 70 years after his death. What would have happened if Tesla had conquered the world?
Includes great drive-in commercials and previews including rare trailers for Karloff and Lugosi’s The Invisible Ray, Radar Men From the Moon, The Mysterious Mr. M, and more. A great full-length cartoon movie filled with Tesla Technology and a must for Tesla fans! Transferred from a mint quality 35mm film print and digitally enhanced. Who could possibly stop Tesla and his gang of henchmen and assistants from taking over Metropolis and the world? Probably only the man from Krypton: Superman!
